Verge Permits
- A Verge Permit is required prior to storing building materials such as sand, bricks, steel, timber, cement etc. on a City verge during building, demolition or development works.
- In order to gain approval to use the verge and protect the City's infrastructure against damage for any purpose relating to building activities, a customer must complete the Verge Permit Application Form.
Issues with neighbours
- People are sometimes unaware that their activities are causing a problem.
- The City encourages all residents and business operators to talk to their neighbours about problems before making a complaint.

- Damage to private property resulting from neighbouring building works, such as cracked walls or paving, is considered to be a civil matter. It can be suggested that the customer consult with their insurance company or they may wish to take other civil action.
